Water’s Edge Inn Statement on the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Thank you for choosing the Water’s Edge Inn! We take the health and safety of our guests and team members seriously. In this time of uncertainty during the COVID-19 outbreak, we assure you that your safety and comfort remain our highest priority.  We are committed to providing exceptional service and safety for our guests, team members and community.

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation through New York State, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other agencies to ensure we are implementing recommended and required guidelines and mandates.  This is a dynamic situation that is evolving daily. We are prepared to make changes as necessary.

Details of our COVID-19 Plan & Policies are provided below.  We appreciate compliance from all guests with our policies set forth in light of COVID-19, so that we may continue to provide a lodging experience for everyone into the foreseeable future. Do your part, if you are sick, please stay home. If you are visiting businesses in our community, please respect their wishes and wear your mask in public spaces.  We are all in this together. Water's Edge Inn Expectations, Policies and Procedures

Prior to Arrival

Face Masks Required  All guests (ages 2 and up) are required to wear a mask or face covering inside the hotel except when you are in your room or suite.  Please plan ahead and do not leave home without a mask for each guest in your party.

Express Check-In is available and we ask that you take advantage of it, if possible, to speed up check-in time and minimize contact.  Please call 315-369-2484 and we will be happy to assist you with Express Check-In. A Water’s Edge Inn team member will be calling you, one week prior to arrival to see if you would like to take advantage of Express Check-In. Be prepared to provide us with the number of guests in your party, license plate number(s) and to make payment in full.

Designate one person to handle the registration/check-in details upon arrival at the hotel.

Upon Arrival

Check-In/Wear a Mask – Check in is any time after 3pm.  All guests (ages 2 and up) are required to wear a mask or face covering inside the hotel except when you are in your room or suite.    Masks will be available for purchase in the store if you have forgotten one, however supplies are limited and subject to availability. Do not enter without a mask, if you need one to enter, please call us.

Limit guest check-in to one person in your party.  Keep the remainder of your party in your vehicle until you know which entrance is closest to your room.

Practice Social Distancing of 6 feet apart or more whenever possible, except within your traveling party.

Express Check-In: Wait in designated locations until called to the next available reservationist. Sign the registration form and collect room keys and car pass(es).

During your Stay

For your safety, our staff will be working diligently to clean, sanitize, and disinfect all common surfaces and touch points throughout the property.

Rise and Shine Breakfast Bag The continental breakfast will be suspended temporarily. Breakfast bags, coffee, and juice will be available for pick up in the lobby from 7:00 – 10:00 am. Each bag will contain a piece of fresh fruit, a muffin & yogurt.

Common Guest Room Amenities such as pens, pads, bibles and in-room guides have been removed.

Daily Room Make-ups will be suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you need any supplies, please call the front desk.

Store Purchases If you would like to make a purchase at the store, please only send one guest from your party.

Common Areas All common areas are open with the exception of the sauna.

Single Serve Ice Machine available on the first floor only.  All others are temporarily shutdown.

Vending machines are available and will be disinfected often.

Check-out

Leave key in your room or place in drop box near front desk by 11:00 am.

HOUSEKEEPING CLEAN GUARANTEE

We currently use cleaning products and protocols which meet EPA guidelines and are CDC approved for use and are effective against viruses, bacteria and other airborne and bloodborne pathogens. We are working with our vendors, distribution partners and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted availability of these cleaning supplies and the necessary PPE’s.

All guest rooms and suites are fully cleaned, sanitized and disinfected prior to each guest’s arrival with the utmost attention to detail including all commonly touched surfaces and equipment.

Common bathrooms will be closed once a day for a deep clean/sanitize/disinfect and disinfected numerous times throughout the day on common touch points.

Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the hotel including the entrance and exit doors, reservation desk & store.

ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS:

Plexiglass shields are hung at the front desk.

Signage on all common area doors, bathrooms, etc. that masks are required, reminders to practice social distancing and to wash hands.

Social distancing “wait here” lines with floor decals will be set up at the reservation desk, store checkout and breakfast pick up.

Guest credit card terminals will be sanitized after each use.

All keys will be disinfected before issuing to guests.

Hand sanitizer will be placed along the check-in counter, store counters and all counters will be disinfected/sanitized after each guest interaction.

Pens will be stored in two separate containers – Clean/disinfected and Used/To be Disinfected

Guest rooms and suites will be spread out when possible.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Normal cancellation policies will remain in place unless we are closed per state mandate.

TEAM MEMBER PROCEDURES

Masks: All team members will be required to wear masks when interacting with guests and when social distancing is not possible with their fellow team members.

All team members are required to wash their hands for twenty seconds upon arrival and to wash their hands every hour for twenty seconds or more frequently when needed.

At the start of each shift, supervisor verifies with each team member that he/she is feeling well and does a temperature check. Any team member with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will require further screening in a private location. Team members who have a fever are sent home.

Team member training and back of house signage are provided promoting health, hygiene and social distancing.

We are continuing to take additional precautions and ask that you help us to do the same for our businesses, community and country. If you are sick, stay home, please continue to wear facemasks and social distance by 6 feet apart.
